These illustrations were an attempt to show the grassroot innovators from rural India. Illustrations where converted to gifs that became part of a seven-minute film produced by Avinash Kumar Co-founder, Quicksand. The film shows the evolution of design in India — from deep rooted craft traditions to modern design.The film was a part of an installation hosted by the India Design Forum in London Design Biennale, 2016 that depicted the country’s layered heritage.
